Join MBA catching instructors  for some outstanding instruction that is sure to take your defensive game to the next level! 

We offer classes for two different age groups. *Based on age group during 2024 Summer Season.

• 9-12 year olds 
• 13-18 year olds 

Our younger class will focus on the basics to make sure each catcher is improving in areas like blocking, receiving, stance, popping to 2B, popping to 3B, and even how to think through the game from behind the plate. 

With our older group, we reinforce the basics like receiving, blocking, pop times, and the importance of athleticism and flexibility.  We will also dive into more advanced things such as pitch calling, in-depth footwork, reading swings, and much more.

On top of the mechanical work, we stress the importance of leadership behind the plate.  Catching is probably the hardest position on the field and this is the class that can help you develop into that shut down catcher your team needs you to be!

CLASS INFORMATION

Days: Tuesdays from 5:00-6:00 (9u-12u) and 6:00-7:00 (13u-18u)

Sessions:

• Session 1: October 24 – November 28

• Session 2: December 5 – January 16 (No class Dec. 26)
• Session 3: January 23 – February 27
• Session 4: March 5 – April 9 (6u-14u ONLY)
  • 6-9U – 5:00-6:00
  • 10-14U – 6:00-7:00
